TPM – Spring Break

My children are on spring break this week.  I, on the other hand, am not.  For the first time in 5 years I am not working in a school based program and I no longer get the same holidays as my children.  This makes me unbelievably sad and jealous.  With that in mind I bring you this poem, which I believe my children could have been easily thinking this morning.

We hear the sound of water running,

The scent of coffee sneaks in our dreams.

On a normal day we’d be eating breakfast,

Brushing our teeth and getting clean.

But not today, we’re sleeping in,

Our parents still have to work.

We feel so bad for these two,

We really are two selfish jerks.
